Hell Is Others crashes after EAC Screen
I'm loving the Heroic Games Launcher so far, but the main game I want to play with it isn't getting past the EAC screen. After the EAC screen, the game crashes and I get a message from wine about the problem. I've tried using a few other versions of wine, including proton, and I have Easy Anti Cheat runtime enabled in settings. Is there something important I'm missing?

Try changing the
wine prefix configuration of the game from /home/john/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default to /home/john/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/Hell is Others
You probably want to also go to the Cloud Saves tab in the settings, clear that path and then let heroic re-calculate itratty-blushOP•2y ago
I got a message saying the wine config was being updated, but then the same thing happened

I just checked my notes, it crashes with wine-ge-proton8, I had to use an older one Wine-GE-Proton7-43
you should be able to install that in the Wine Manager section

(you still want that change of the prefix I mentioned first, I imagine you checked the
Use wine defaults checkbox during installation, don't do that unless you want to use the same wine and prefix for different games, let heroic create different prefixes so you can use different configurations as needed)ratty-blushOP•2y ago
