It doesn't give an error, it used to work on previous linux installs a while ago, the default wine-ge, the latest wine-ge and wine-8.02 both couldn't get any window to open, im on debian 12 unstable

it just hangs until i manually close it

Use wine, not proton
If it still doesn't work, drag and drop the entire log file into discord

wine complains it can't find rockstar social club tho

when i try to launch gta 5 with wine 8.03 it gives me this
imma try with newer wine version instead
9.0 rc-3
ok wine 9.0 rc-3 seems to launch

Download wine-ge latest from heroic's wine manager and use that, then send a log where you use that version of wine. Proton will not give us any useful information

nothing wrong with using latest wine staging fwiw.

It works now
But
I get terrible fps
31 fps, and when i move, it just dies for around 10 seconds, the audio still working tho, or at least it seems to be
so its 100% unplayable

show a log from running it with wine. it's possible that you're using the igpu
foreign-sapphireOP•2y ago
in the settings it clearly says use dedicated graphics card is disabled
ok just made my research, imma try again....
still terrible
how do i do that
solid-orange•2y ago

"name": "Wine Default - wine-8.0.2",I don't think this will get very far

its not normal, the wine i have is wine 9.0 rc2
ahhh ok i see
its because i changed the wine from my package manager, and it auto changes it normally
it probably just didn't take note when taking logs, since the wine binaries are still at the same exact place
it could have not even known it had changed
