here is the game log
"name": "Wine - Wine-GE-Proton8-27-LoL",
Don't use this version of Wine-GE for anything other than League of Legends. Download -25 from the Wine Manager, then delete your Wineprefixfair-roseOP•2y ago
it didint work. i got this error

That's "normal" (Heroic tries to check the EOS Overlay status without a valid Wineprefix)
Simply close that error dialog and launch the game

Right, send in a new game log then

Driver: nouveau
That's gonna be a problem
01e8:err:d3dcompiler:D3DCompile2 Failed to compile shader, vkd3d result -4.
And that's the problem
1. Install proper Nvidia drivers (https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers)
2. Install d3dcompiler_43
and d3dcompiler_47
via Winetricksabsent-sapphire•2y ago
it also looks like it's trying to use the iGPU
MESA-INTEL: warning: Haswell Vulkan support is incomplete
Yup, that'll be because of the missing Nvidia driver

would this even work on the GTX 970?
from the store page's minimum requirements:
Graphics Nvidia GTX 1650/GTX 1050-ti, or AMD RX 470/RX 570, or equivalent performance & VRAM
Well, we'll find out

but this comes up..

The first code block there isn't a set of commands, you're supposed to edit the file mentioned and add the relevant components
If you don't know how to do this, send in your current sources list (the file you're supposed to edit)
fair-roseOP•2y ago
what file am i suppose to edit..'
/etc/apt/sources.list
this one?
Yes
Wait a minute, why are you logged in as
root
