IReddit, where people who cant google go to ask poorly described questions, only to get a ton of non helpful smart assed replies and usually no real answers. And its only gotten worse since the huge exodus of mods after all the drama last year...
Jreddit and discord are the only socials I use lol

Ilol exactly, consuming the content vs participating. This is both youtube and reddit for me, I often browse/watch but dont post, rarely log in even. Hell Reddit I dont even have a login I dont think. If I did I havent used it in years, reddit is such a toxic cesspool so much of the time.
KI migrated to lemmy and it's been so much better
KIt's like everyone with any kind of technical knowledge moved over, so the conversation is a lot more nerdy and professional

IWell yea, thats everywhere, anythig politcal is a complete dumpster fire. I prefer to stay as far away from any of that as possible.
Nor at most we should have reddit pages that redirect to the discourse or here

II might have to check it out, I never really got into reddit other than to browse, then get mad at all the unhelpful sarcastic, or clearly completely wrong replies. Thus why I never joined. and it seems to always sort by the most unhelpful but "funniest" awnsers to questions. Which I simply dont have the time or patience for.
Teven though i am not super knowledgeable about reddit, i have seen subreddits that seemed to prevent anyone but mods/admins from posting threads
Inot a bad idea to just create a subredit that says please go here: I think you can create locked ones where people can see it but cant post.

Nkeeping folks out of the Fedora subreddit would be helpful.
