Hawaiian Shirt Outfits would work best with my Doc Martens QUILION RED
So I have this Luau Im attending and the dress code calls for a hawaiian shirt (something casual) but I kinda wanna go all out and more fancy so i was thinking a blazer with trousers with tucked in Hawaiian Shirt. I have a bunch of trousers already:
Linen cream/biege pleated wide/casual trousers,
dark blue corduroy trousers
gray corduroy trouser
Black formal trouser pleated
Brown dress pants
Buit I feel like the brown and biege ones stand the best chance. As for the blazers/sport coat i am a bit lost on what to consider

I just dont want the red to be overpowering
maybe something of a showpiece? if that makes anysense? like the whole 40 - 30 - 10 rule with the red loafers being the 10
this is what the linen trousers look like but mine needs to get dry cleaneed to get the proper pleated look to it
go for an aloha shirt. its the fancy dress shirt hawaiians wear, more muted colors and simple floral as opposed to the loud colors and designs of hawaiian shirts. theres a good articles of interest episode on the subject. kahala is the og maker
ok thanks i didnt rlly consider the difference and ill be looking into muted colors
I have a bit of a hard time choosing on which would look well the red shoes, thoughts?
I could be wrong but I always considered aloha shirts to have a camp collar so I wouldn’t call any of these aloha shirts
idk honestly its a local brand here and its called aloha shirts or what they call them atleast
I haven’t listened to the AoI episode but my knowledge was always that they have a camp collar, a straight hem, front chest pocket, and often would use the reverse side of a printed fabric to mute the colors
Oh the last one has a camp collar
Ohhhn I see waht u mean the colar
awwww that sucks
i liked the drinks design
They're going to stand out. Brown and beige pants are gonna help ground it but that shoe is a "bright" burgundy as far as I can tell. The shoes are going to be the 60%. As for a shirt, my vote goes for the dark blue shirt with the drinks on it. The blue is subtle, has the red similar to your shoes, has adjacent orange, tint of red (pink) and opposite green. I think it'll help grab attention from the shoes. My .02. Good luck,Bub.
No one is going to care about the collar except you but if you want an authentic shirt then I'm sure you'll find something. I assume this is a one off kind of event?
yeah its a senior luau at my school and I just wanna look snazzy but in a formal casual sense
