Merging of road/paths
Would be Great if that would be added in the future, Also custom meshes for paths if we want to do more. Example of golf cart paths

Right now if you make two roads intersect and play with the sink value, it could maybe look OK? Depending on the material you have on, like in this example with road lines, it is not good, but maybe if you use a more generic material, it might look ok?
Or was what your experience when trying it out? π
Sorry didn't see this. I think it more just trying to merge some how to get the paths like more above
and where they join you can create the roundness

Thinking something around these line 2 roads crossing paths and you can control the roundness(red) I am sure this can be fleshed out more, but the basic Idea is there
@aaronfhd I've been wanting a tool like this forever! What is your current workflow for achieving this? Anything that's non-destructive?

We're doing some R&D on roads internally right now; still at the concepting stage, but fingers crossed we can get something for Dash 1.9 (slated for mid to late may)

Thank you π Roads/paths with more control over the landscape are so needed itβs crazy. Iβd pay so much just to have that feature in Unreal.

the ultimate #geometrynodes intersections! Ok still a lot of things to figure out but the geometry looks good. I also automated the intersection scale by the amount of connected roads. #b3d Have a nice weekend!

Nice! That's not bad. I wish there was some way however of controlling the radii of the corners. To make realistic roads, and paths, this is actually super important.
You can use a modular work flow and already get this, if you follow this work flow with any spline tool. Just make the intersection and use the spline tool to make connections to the road/paths. Super common work flow.
^^^ make the intersection piece. (actually hopefully some time this year, I plan to toss some up on the Unity UAS and Unreal MP).
Thanks! It's a little more difficult for architecture purposes where you want to change the specific radius a lot, and so I guess you could create a bunch of variations but that's a lot to do each time for each type of road etc if that makes sense.
if you make it modular, you shouldn't need that many variants.. and if you did, it would take no time.. I make this stuff all the time.
