I don't know how it works, but I'm pretty sure there's a set limit of how much keystrokes MechaKeys will deem as "legit" per a certain amount of time.
I use filterkeys but I disable mechakeys
This has been happening to me for a week
+ I could be wrong, but if you were using MechaKeys without internet somehow, that would possibly also cause those problems.
but when I try to use mechakeys without internet it doesn't work
(I could be completely wrong here, but MechaKeys only works without internet if you already had it on.)

I never had problems with "invalid keystrokes" before or remember any non-cheater who had that problem before, so you'll need to wait for somebody else to help you.
