do you have a backup?
the db i have deleted was the backup
now we dont have a backup
after migrations i saw two dbs the legacy and the new ,,and deleted the new db by mistake
so the legacy database is fine?
both are deleted
and you have no backups anywhere else?
i have another backup in s3
i now want to migrate the master db
then you would need to deploy a new postgres database and restore your backup
when one makes a migration ,,does the legacy and new db stay?
yes, railway will not delete databases, that would have been something you did
what happens when db is deleted by mistakes can it be recovered ?
as long as you have a backup you are able to restore it
if you didn't have a backup, then there's no way to restore it
now i have phobia migrating the master db
haha just don't delete stuff
i think i have noticed what i have done wrong ,,when one deletes the volume of the new db does it delete the whole data db ??
yes
why are you deleting volumes?
the other dbs where not have volumes so i thought it would work just fine
the other new databases will absolutely have volumes
the legacy databases don't have volumes, but all new databases will
i didnt know that
Thank you so much
no problem
bytha how can one work in your company (i use react ,python and go ) but i saw somehow that you use typescript can one work for you when he uses another language or tool?
I don't work for railway lol
