Hello Rachel, although maya is still shipped, we don't ufficially support it anymore.
You can still use it, but new features are not available and old one not maintained.
Despite this, you should still be able to open the tool from the menu "GraphN" the old name of the software.

some questions:

What windows are you on?
Do you see any warnings or so from any antivirus/windows defender?
Could you cancel the installation and try running it as admin?

ah, so Defender is turned off?
Is there something similar in McAfee, that you could allow Maya, or Dash in?

In many of these weird cases there is problems with the antivirus, so I am just trying to rule that out

Hello @rachel , sorry to see the instaler let you down. Could you please try to manually add the plugin?

Download the attched file for maya 2022
Every time you see {DASH_ROOT}, replace it with the location where dash is installed in your system (replace eerything, including the {}, make sure the path slash is forward like this / and not backward like this )
Now that you have the file with the right paths, you can enure you have provided valid paths by copy pasting any of them in window explorer. if that works, you are almost there
Make sure the file is saved, and paste it inside the Maya modules folder, should be something like (C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2022\modules)
Restart Maya, and open the plugin manager (Windows > Settings/Preferences > Plu-in Manager)
You should find "grapheneClient.py" and "polygonflow.mll", load them and you will have the menu to use Dash in Maya
