Gorge height

What do you think of the gorge height of this sport coat? It seemed a bit low to me at first, but maybe it’s actually average, and only current trends favor a slightly higher gorge position. Also, the angle of the line (don’t know what it’s called) between the lapel and the collar is a bit unusual (very vertical). Do you think these details make the jacket look dated? I like the fabric and it seems like a good deal for a cashmere coat on the local 2nd hand market.
