is it safe to dry clean a wool sweater?
My friend found like a Shetland wool sweater (it says Shetland wool but made in USA) for me at the thrift and I'd like to have it dry cleaned in case it has moths before I store it with my other sweaters if that makes sense.

I've seen inconsistent advice on whether dry-cleaning sweaters is always ok, but I personally wouldn't do it unless the label explicitly says to dry clean (even then hand-washing is usually better)
You can also freeze clothes to kill bugs--if you leave it in the freezer inside a ziploc bag for at least 72 hours that should kill any moths and eggs.

No care label
Oddly enough the only knitwear I have that says to dry clean is my scarf
Yeah put it in a bag and freeze for a few days to kill any chance of moth eggs surviving
Just freeze it for a week and you'll be good. You can also always put it in a bag before storing it so if there are moths, all they can get to is this one
