HDR still not working after installing gamescope
Hey all.
Just saw the tweet about installing gamescope via flatpak to get HDR working.
Have done that and HDR is still not working at all.
Have tried cyberpunk & witcher 3. Launching straight from heroic and also adding them to steam and try. No way I've tried seems to work.
Am I missing something or?
Pretty new to Heroic launcher so good chance I'm stupid and missing something

hi,
just to confirm you have installed
org.freedesktop.Platform.VulkanLayer.gamescope
?
make sure Heroic is up to date too
small FYI, HDR works only in gaming mode where you need to enable appropriate options in steam UI and game itselfratty-blush•17mo ago
Have you installed it from terminal or via discovery store? It didn't work for me when I've used Discovery
Also please post your game log here

Installed from terminal. Will post game logs when I get home from work a bit later
Pretty sure it's installed, can confirm once I'm home from work
Heroic is up to date
OLED steam deck automatically enables HDR when it detects it's on in game.
Witcher 3 automatically loads in HDR and is currently super washed out as HDR isn't enabling when it's starting.
Enabling HDR within cyberpunk results in washed out or super high contrast depending on what HDR mode you enable

iirc if another compositor is running along with gamescope, you generally will have issues iirc, hence why it has to be in game mode.. you are testing in game mode, correct?

Correct

did you modify any permissions in Flatseal?
you may need to reset them

As far as I'm aware I haven't modified any permissions. How do you reset them if need be though?

launch Flatseal and in Heroic tab you should be able to press reset

Turns out this was the fix 🙏
