You can only have 10 volumes per project!
This is very weird because I have deleted all of the other unused volumes, however I am still not able to migrate some of my volumes. I upgraded to the pro plan, but that has just created a new team section. Even after migrating the project over to the pro plan under the team, I cannot migrate.
What is the solution to this problem and is it compulsory for me to pay for the pro plan?

do you have more than 10 volumes? (counting all volumes from all environments)
Yes
are they all in use?
Yes they are
have you already upgraded to pro? im not seeing a pro badge
I did upgrade to pro but when I upgraded it created a team account rather than on personal
thats how it works
yep thats how it works
go ahead and move your project to the pro workspace (from within the project settings)
Yeah I did that, but same result when trying to migrate
You want me to do it again?
unless i am not understanding something, this screenshot shows me you are selected on the pro workspace, but your project is not there
I moved it back to personal again
Let me just do as you say
One sec
Now I just transfered it to the pro plan
I will try to migrate on the team plan (pro)
Same result
wow thats a lot of databases
May I ask why you need that many databases?
We are a service provider and need a lot of databases for each partner
Ah, makes sense
alright, leave the project in the pro workspace, and we will flag the team for you, they will provide a solution
You might also be able to make prefixed table names (e.g.
eternals-tablename
, payc-tablename
, ...) to reduce the number of volumes you're using - just a suggestion, I don't know if it's viableAlright, thanks for the support. Please ping me so I get notified when the team responds.
aleks do you wanna flag or want me to?
I am not the dev, is it possible to add my dev in here - are they able to see this chat?
I'll flag
this is a public chat, anyone with a railway account can see this
Alright okay that's great, will invite them in here
Again, please ping me when you respond
the team will respond on a week day, as they dont work on the weekends
but i will be sure to ping when they do

Hello @jahncrypto
This is a new issue for us. The team is aware and will update you this week.
You can have your dev join the discord but you would need them to link their railway account to chat in
#help
Awesome, what should we do in the meantime since we have been receiving emails about databases needing to be upgraded by the 31st?
Hey guys, bumping this up since we're past the deadline now
@Ray - volume limit of 10 reached
thanku
@Jahncrypto sorry for the late response here! I bumped you up to 20, could you try again?
Awesome, let me give it a go
That worked! thank you ❤️
So I technically don't need to pay $20 P/m and can cancel that right?
to me it sounds like what you are using railway for is a little more than a hobby
thus, even if you dont need 32 vcpu, 32 gb mem, team support, etc. you would still need to be on pro just because your use case is not a hobby usecase anymore (from what it sounds like)
We can only override feature limits for Pro users. If you have >10 volumes and are using this for important production workloads, you should definitely be on Pro
