Asian Tailoring Brands
Hi,
Looking for Asian tailoring brands (and insta accounts etc) for inspo and cuz I like the possibility that there's perfect tailoring out there RTW in my size (34).
Thank you!

Paging @Shrimp my Ride due to his knowledge of Japanese brands (and because I love the cuts of his tailoring fits)
Some stuff people already recommended in gen chat for reference:

I found this Korean brand called Lamarche on insta which uses some of the coolest fabrics I've seen (they commission tailoring from ring jacket)
I've also browsed through the beams web store
this vanni fit is cuh-razy
Monopoly man in his investment banking days
Oh wow that's a sick coat
I haven't been in Seoul in over a decade but im booking a flight tomorrow if bloodbornecore is in
are we avoiding low hanging fruit MTM like kamakura
They mainly do shirts!
are you looking for tailoring only? or asian brands in general?
Tailoring (suits, sport jackets, slacks) and any long coats!
Korean long coats are super long, and very oversized
their tailoring stuff fitted tho
Tbh that's cool with me as long as they're in size 34-36
The lamarche coats are sick
😛 yea their balmacaan and trench are great
The document belted ones are rlly cool too
Was just going to recommend document

That's sickk.
Yeah I got so excited I bought it
where in asia are you based? i see a lot of raja's tailors from bangkok in thrift shops here and the quality is good
Loll I'm in the US
Ok, I'm going to proceed my suggestions with a few caveats:
1. There are lots of people out there more knowledgeable than me.
2. None of what I'm about to suggest is super rare or not well known.
3. I'm watching my kids pulled away and have to come back to post more.
First of all, Ring Jacket. Lots ofcmy suits and sportcoats are from them. Napoli cut with an American trad bent. Just really great stuff, especially if you like big lapels, soft shoulders, low buttoning points, double vents and three-roll-two
Next, igarashi trousers. Amazing bespoke trouser tailor for a very reasonable price. Has a RTW line as well. Amazing craftsmanship, detail-oriented.
Beams is a HUGE brand that is mostly curated from other smaller brands. They do all sorts of styles, but their tailoring is really on point.
Within that, Beams Plus does some amazing mid-century ivy pieces, and also a lot of patchwork stuff.
Japan has a thriving MTM scene. Kamakura is very well known for their MTM dress shirts, especially the button-down collar.
Azabu tailor is another who makes just about anything, with books and books full of fabric. I particularly think they do some fantastic pleated trousers. They'll make them just the way you want, and then adjust them as many times as you need to get them right, at no charge.
Also, as Japan is still a nation where lots of people wear suits to work, there is actually a thriving low-range scene. A lot of the suits and stuff are a bit stuffy, they're good for basic trousers and also accessories like ties.
The number of basics I have from Suit Select, Konaka and Orihica that were very cheap and lasted for years is impressive. Not to be underestimated!
Still going, Talilor ltd does RTW, MTM, bespoke and literally anything in betweeen. They usually have a tight line of basics that have eccentric colors and patterns.
United Arrows is great as well, but don't confuse it with green label, their fast fashion line, which is junk. Lots of dark colors, but strong cuts.
Another brand to be aware of is Workers, they are mostly vintage repro with a focus on workwear, but they do tweed jackets and OCBDs that are really classic.
Anatomica, an interesting Japanese-French brand. They do a wide variety of vintage repro. Their tailoring is great through
Also remember that J Press in Japan is completely separate from J Press in the states, and does some great stuff
For high-end stuff, permanent style has done some great round-ups of bespoke tailors in Tokyo
OK, chew on that. Will post more as they come to mind

I'm in Hong Kong - so I follow Prologue and The Anthology
The Anthology's account is super good and will give you a ton of good inspiration from their staff
Related - I really like Aaron Hu's take on tailoring https://www.instagram.com/aaronhu722?igsh=Z2VxemVkMDhvejkx

Idk if their sizes are smaller bc I know they're a collab between London & HK but I love the Brycelands HK stuff I see on my feeds! https://www.brycelandsco.com/
Bryceland's HK
Bryceland's & Co.
Bryceland's Co. is an expression of a desire to bring elegance and masculinity to the world of men's clothing, from tailored attire to the uniforms of work and play. Classic Tailoring | American Workwear | Leisure wear | Tokyo | Hong Kong
These are great
Love Brycelands! I have one of their knit polos and had to size up but that's probably just for knitwear
I love Brycelands! Origin is kinda confusing because Kenji is from Hong Kong. Ethan is Australian, but comes out of the Armory (also worked at Ralph), but lives here in Japan. They opened their Tokyo and HK shops simultaneously, then the London one only recently.
Great stuff though
