Dying Light crashes on Linux
Hi,
I'm trying to play Dying Light Enhanced Edition on ZorinOS 17 and after the welcome screen, it crashes and it doesn't allow my game past that!
And also, is there any way to run this game only with proton-experimental and not with wine, I know that Proton is based on Wine but I really don't know why but I get a good performance with Proton as compared to wine.

I have already read it and still I can't understand it

1. Post game logs
2. Use Wine-GE
And if you believe that you are getting better performance with Proton over Wine-GE, there’s a good chance you configured it wrong, which would be revealed by a game log
This is a global Heroic log, not a game log. The read me says how to get the game log

name": "Wine - Wine-GE-Proton8-27-LoL",You are playing Dying Light, not League of Legends. You shouldn’t be using the custom build specific for LoL
"winePrefix": "/home/sjthegreat/Games/Heroic/Prefixes/default",Change the word default to Dying Light

Okay
I'm installing Wine-GE-Latest
Your system does not meet the minimum hardware requirements of this game

I see
Game's trying to allocate more VRAM, but there's none left

Okay
(not quite sure what you're expecting to be honest, you're on a 10 year old entry-level mobile CPU with no dGPU, you're not playing games on that thing)

There I go skipping right over Pentium

I thought I could play it in Ultra Low settings
I played Metro and it worked smoothly
I sincerely apologise to waste your time
