there is no need to use ProtonUp to get the anticheat runtimes, delete them and get them through your Steam library
minor note: 8-28 is the latest version

in terms of Brawlhalla we agreed recently that Ubisoft's build is broken

I dont use Ubisoft in Linux atleast I wont until Heroic adds it or just some other launcher appears for it
running the client with wine is annoying

it shouldn't show up in ProtonUp because it isn't a runner
and you don't have battleye installed, but it's showing up in ProtonUp
so in ProtonUp, you should probably uninstall those runtimes because it looks like something put something in the wrong place

delete your Brawlhalla prefix and try again

check integrity of the game
it will also check if proton and runtimes are valid
it will also reset the install script

Frlight 84 should have worked
cuz I just installed it with I got Proton 8 working
and I also I upgraded to latest Proton-GE version
so thats not the issue either

I messed smthg up and had to reinstall distro
I don't know why I never thought about reinstlaling steam
