New coat sizing advice
Found this pure cashmere overcoat for 20 euro yesterday, not sure if I should investigate having the body taken in a bit. It's a 42, and I'd be a 40 in most things. Not sure if just feels big as it's so different to anything else I have
Thoughts appreciated
Random outfit underneath just to assess fit, slippers cause it's cold in the house

Nice find! It would be easier to see how it fits in the body in a shot where you don't have your hands in your pockets but have them relaxed on the sides of your body. Seeing how the back looks would also help. The sleeve length looks good and the shoulders look a bit roomy but not in a bad way in my opinion.
The only other one I have I got before wore many sports coats etc, and is tight in the shoulders over anything other than a sweater, so was keen to find something more relaxed - 80s vibe
Yeah it's definitely giving that vibe with the wider, structured shoulders. I would rock it as is. There are other people on the server that know more about tailoring that can give you better pointers from that perspective.
Having a bit of structure for an overcoat can help. If you are aiming to wear a suit jacket/blazer underneath I'd try that on and see how it fits.
apart from the above, looks fine at it is. Nice body length, good sleeve length, shoulders do look fine
Thanks. I've a sports coat under in these pics, not super structured one though, fairly relaxed brooks brothers one so I think any of my bigger shoulder pieces would have plenty of room
It looks good dude don't get it taken in imo
What a find for $20 too
Yeah, was pretty pleased. Dropped into couple of local charity shops hoping for an overcoat, and there were 3 - not usually anything
I'm thinking I'll leave it as it is - tailoring it probably unnecessary. Maybe after I wear it a few times I'll get used to how dramatic it looks/feels
