cannot connect to railway.app

Hi, I cannot seem to connect to railway.app from my network, started this morning. This looks like some kind of hard block. I am just on a regular comcast router.

N/A not had a problem in two years. Also, can confirm that when using a VPN, the issue is resolved. railway.app is completely blocked from my comcast network.

there's unfortunately not much railway can do if your networking is blocking access to railway

It’s not my networking, I promise you, something has changed on your end that has resulted in your IP refusing my connections. The second I switch network via a VPN, I can connect just fine. I literally can’t see the railway dashboard without being in a VPN, happened this week. Ever since the incidents occurred.

the only possible explanation I can think of is that your IP was involved in a recent ddos attack, but that's just a wild guess and since you said "your end" I'd like to clarify that I don't work for railway you can always renew your IP

brody's right - we recently tightened some networking rules in light of DDoS attacks, you might be getting caught in the crossfire Tagging in @Cooper to take a look Please don't hijack threads like this 🙏 Glad to hear you got it working!

Not sure how I hijacked this thread? I needed help with my app but got it fixed. Please let me know how I can report issues in the future. Not sure what the process is for getting help on discord. Thank you

your issue doesn’t relate to theirs, you are more than welcome to open your own #✋|help thread

Instances dialing from cluster have full bypass so this shouldn't be affected

is that applicable when they are just trying to visit railway.app from a browser?

Yes, this is me trying to visit the site, I can still hit all my own projects, it's the actual railway.app domain, it's totally blocked for me. I am in Virginia, on regular residential comcast. my connections are dropped instantly, for now, I am locked out completely. Which means multiple others on my residential network are as well - how far and wide it is, I don't know. But for now, unless I jump on a VPN, railway.app has vanished off the face of the earth for me.

do you have a dedicated IP address? or are you behind a cgnat? and have you renewed your IP address yet?
