lace doily on pants/sewing advice
Hey guys, picked up a very cute lace doily at the bins the other day. Occurred to me it’s kind of the right size and shape to go on the knee of a pair of pants. Love the idea of a “reinforced/double knee” with something as soft and impractical as lace. Anyway. What do you think the best way to go about attaching this would be?

I mean it should be a pretty straight forward job but will take some time
Id say just follow standard protocol for sewing a repair but you’ll just have to navigate the fabric
Neat idea! I think it would be pretty simple, I'd probably just go super basic with an over-under stitch like this just on the outside 'ring' of the netting, if that makes sense?
I might also stitch around the star. Since it's a pretty large patch and the material looks delicate, since reinforcement probably wouldn't hurt.
This is gonna look real cute! Looks like a knee tattoo for your jeans haha
Thank you @Digs , @tunnocks🌻 , @KANB it’s going on the bottom of the pile and I may do a different pair of pants but I’m so grateful for the feedback :blushcatto:
