Cleaning an old stained leather jacket??

Hey y'all, quick question for anyone who has experience cleaning leather I thrifted a brown leather bomber that's probably older than me, it's cool but it's got a bunch of little stain spots and it smelled like someone's chainsmoker uncle. I got 90% the smell out but it's still looking a little raggedy. Any advice for cleaning it up? Saddle soap? I used to work in dry cleaning, but we didn't mess with leather so this is new territory for me

I just had a similar cleaning effort on a pair of shoes, and yeah saddle soap got most of the water spots out and a buffing of mink oil got them looking like brand new Before and after pics here https://discord.com/channels/1116793467654381685/1203639758824144896/1203643522813657098

I think it's pretty neutral, I used a pretty small amount and it definitely wasn't anything unpleasant

Just remember to keep the jacket in open air so the oil can seep in and the jacketā€™s surface isnā€™t saturated. Donā€™t just chuck it in the closet where it may stay damp and the oil may turn rancid.
