how to combine basic wardrobe colors
Hi all, I wanted to ask the most basic question ever. I just discovered MFA and ive been reading its posts and I was wondering from the basic wardrobe guide which colors from tops combine with bottoms.
this basic guide give good colors for tops and for bottoms. But does that mean that all basic colors from top (white, gray, navy, beige) can combine well with all colors adviced for bottoms ( tan, caramel, olive for chinos and dark indigo, black for jeans)? does all of these combinations are also possible taking into account the shoes (white/gray sneakers vs brown leather boots) Is there something I should be aware of?
my gut feeling/logic is yes, but I wanted some confirmation

Out of those options, the only combos I'd avoid are navy/navy and beige/beige. Monochrome fits in general are a bit harder to pull off.
Since you're a self-described noob, the most important thing is just trying things on, so you can get a feel for what you like and don't like.
If you wear tan coloured shoes with dark coloured suits. Derek appears in your mirror and kills you. The biggest contrast piece will draw the eye the most.
