Valorant freezes whenever i press B or Esc. gets progressively worse as the game goes on.
at the beginning it is abrely noticeable, at the end it takes like 2 seconds to open the buy menu. does this when opening and closing either buy or settings menu.

Hi, this issue happened to me only once but restarting the game fixed it but i am sure you already tried restarting.
So what you can try is repairing the game from Riot Client if it still doesn't work. You can try uninstalling the game delete all files manually related to Riot games and Valorant and then reinstall.
Hopefully, it fixes the issue also try updating the CPU and GPU drivers.
@Copium what helped for me was setting the game to fullscreen in the video settings
It could be that you are maxing the memory, have dying ram by itself, it could be HAGS, it could be the cpu thermal throttling, a bunch of things
