「solved somewhat」fall guys: how to wipe game settings without performing a fresh re-install?
searched the server with keywords "fall guys settings" and nothing returned so starting a new post. what i want to accomplish: reset the in-game settings to default, particularly the resolution settings. all without re-installing the game. the only idea on how to proceed is i have found a file under Games/Heroic/FallGuys/ called FallGuys_client_game.dxvk-cache
if i delete this will it accomplish the goal or will it cause an issue?

Look at configuration file location
The nuclear option is deleting the prefix
Neither option requires reinstalling the game

"the prefix" meaning the whole wine prefix folder for fall guys as indicated in the heroic settings? folder path which for me is home/games/heroic/prefixes/default/Fall guys/ ?

Yes. I would personally start by deleting the configuration settings first then if it didn’t work, then delete the prefix

seems to have worked. however the resolution problem which caused me to start this topic still persists. seems hybrid nvidia GPU just refuses to work with xrandr, xorg X11 and kernels in general, although im sure a linux genius can make it work with kernel bootloader parameters and other non-layman stuff that is beyond my abilities. wont open a new issue for this ill just mark solved and never play fall guys again. 4 months of trying to fix this garbage...dont buy nvidia people
