Heroic (version 2.12.0) cannot find my already installed Proton-GE version, so it is not listed

This seems to be a recurring issue in the sense that sometimes it just fixes itself and sometimes it behaves like it is broken..
I have Proton-GE-32 installed at:
~/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d I also have the following symlink within ~/.steam: root -> /home/smendez/.local/share/Steam Looking over the help note in the heroic client It says that it looks in ~/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d, but somehow, it is not listing it as an available wine version. I also checked the permissions of that directory, and they are perfectly fine. Any guidance on this is greatly appreciated it.

Ok, I guess this is a me a problem. Coincidentally, after posting this I decided to launch steam to make sure I could play one of the games that I configured to use that Proton version. As soon as Steam came up, it complained that it could not find my game. The game is on a /Games partition and for some reason, that config was erased from steam. As soon as I fixed that by adding back to the Storage section, I launched the heroic games launcher, and the Steam proton versions showed up, including Proton-Ge-32. Very weird, but I am posting my resolution in case anybody else has a wacky scenario like me.
