Hey
hi there
@ZEYD - I have bumped up your disk to 100GB. But, there is a cost. You'll need to tell me what you are building and how we can help.
THANKS A LOT. will be back with you just a sec please
@Angelo I am very sorry for letting you wait. Thanks again a lot for upgrading my disk space! β€οΈ
This literally saved me
We are in the business of saving developers.
How can we help and what are ya building?
we are building storyboarder.ai (https://storyboarder.ai/) which is a storyboarding tool for filmmakers. right now with a bunch of customers from all around the world
i am really happy with the services of railway and absolutely love it, except some smaller things like upgrading above 50 gb disk space but i am very glad that this worked so quickly here
had already sent multiple emails for a request for 500 gb but that just took too long
so i am fine for now i guess, but we are growing much faster than expected tbh
any other questions @Angelo ? i am happy to answer π
Do you think that you will need additional resources like more RAM or a Direct channel with the team? Reason why I ask is that for most support requests we respond in 3 - 5 days, and for extraordinary cases- we respond now.
If that's the case, we can upgrade your team to https://docs.railway.app/reference/support#business-class
With Business class, we can grow your disk to 500 GB.
(and you get other offerings with that like better support)
We have 2100+ companies on the platform so that offering is the best way how we can prioritize your cases.
let me look into that and discuss with my team
thanks a lot
will get back to you asap
@Angelo sounds good, how much does it cost?
<quoted price> a month as an add-on, but we can negotiate it down, you also get SLOs and a private Slack with your whole company
whats the maxium i can grow to regarding disk volume with my current plan (pro)? matt was talking something about 250GB via email?
Only if you get near that amount, the reason why we charge the way we do is that we would need to manually schedule your workload because you are essentially "reserving" box-space.
i see, so if i outgrow the current 100GB i can get back to you and then get up to 250GB right?
And we are charging for the pager we'd be holding, just in case you need me to wake up at 2 am
For the record, the 100 GB is above limit, I set it so that I can unblock your team. You would need to upgrade regardless.
What is the budget that you were expecting to pay for your infra?
actually i am happy as it is right now, also perfomance-wise. only issue was disk space really
so, right now we do not need 1o1 support, but good to know that this is possible for the future
Gotcha- I can keep it as is, but when you see you approching limit, we can negotiate something that works for your team.
okay, thanks. and the 250GB that matt mentioned for the pro plan are outdated?
don't get that yet tbh
I read the thread and I think he mentioned it in context to your question of: "Can we do it?" - in which that is yes. What tier is it under? Then you'd have to pay for it.
For any custom limits above Pro, it's quoted.
so he wrote via email "I believe we can grow volumes for users on the Pro plan to 250gb without any extra cost. Is that something you'd like to pursue?" and then later on "The 250gb plan limit is for the Pro plan. Are you interested in that?"
this is what i am referring to
Then he was mistaken unfortunately.
i see okay
I apologize for that error, but when we have to manually grow disk that way, it means that we have to manually route workloads.
Which incurs a cost we need to pass on π’
all good, absolutelty understand
and since it requires us to setup pagers for your workloads (which means better SLAs) we bundle it with a support contract.
i see
then thats it i guess for now. again, thanks A LOT, you saved me. and i will definitely be in touch for further upgrades along the way
Everybody gets one π
Talk soon and best of success, it's always nice to see our users grow.
