What's the big difference between a 'Straight' vs 'Relaxed' fit Jean?
EDIT: SORRY I MEANT 'REGULAR' FIT:
Bought some 'Straight' fit Jeans from Next,(UK) which I absolutely love (thanks guys for encouraging me to try straight/wider fit!).
I've also seen their 'Relaxed Regular' fit, but to me they look the same..?
Light pair/white T-shirt dude is 'Regular', Darker pair/Green Jumper is 'Straight' .
Am I missing something obvious?

The wide-stance on the straight is throwing it off a bit, but you can see the relaxed doesn't have the same taper and looks looser in the hips. I would probably consider the left to be more of a tapered and right to be more of a 'straight' fit tbh
looks like the biggest difference is knee down on these
if you wanna get really pedantic straight just means no taper, not a certain width. You can have skinny and slim straight fits
relaxed fit has a taper mostly, the top block looks similar on both but like raisins said straight just means no taper you can have wide straight or slim straight cuts and everything in between
and every brand is going to have a different litmus for what is relaxed
i also just realized relaxed isnt pictured there, it's regular vs straight
so i'd be curious to see what they consider relaxed
Hmm interesting.
Didnt know you could have Slim Straight, or Straight.
Googling doesnt bring up a shit ton of shops (under £60) that even has straight fit jeans.
Hell, UNIQLO only has Slim.
In case anyone interested in the 'Regular' fit from NEXT for more images; https://www.next.co.uk/style/st924502/850595#850595

Made a mistake and it was Regular fit, not Relaxed.
Does that make a difference now lol?
no those are just branding terms really. I'd expect "relaxed" to be a looser cut obviously but nothing beyond that. Could be tapered, straight, etc.
oh this makes sense looking at these front-shot photos of said jeans:
One can clearly see the taper in the (left) Regular pair vs the (right) Straight.
