Game server protection (Mainly L3)
Hello dear Cloudflare,
I've been using this service , mainly for webservers. But a friend asked me to help him set up a game server for personal use.
Apparantly one of his players got a bit upset and started ddos'ing his server and it downed pretty easily.
This is a single VPS , this vps hosts the game & website.
The server goes down because of a L3 UDP attack.
After browsing, it seems like the magic transit feature would fix this. Is there an idea how much this would cost on average?
Or is this in any way included in the Cloudflare Pro plan?
Because it says unmetered DDOS protection ,but magic transit doesn't seem to be included.

Magic transit is an enterprise product, and are only available in custom contracts. These start at costs in the order of thousands a month, so are generally out of reach for something like a personal game server.
What game are you trying to protect?
It would be World of Warcraft (Wotlk) , and yeah thousands wouldn't be possible.
It should be more or less affordable, since this is a small community wich only a handfull of players and no donations.
I've been looking at other solutions, but cloudflare always stuck to me as the go to for related topics.
Yea AFAIK Cloudflare doesn't offer anything that would fit your usecase. There's spectrum, but UDP on there is also ent-only.
Yea most things that would apply seem to be custom plans wich probably means costly payments 😅 .
