Rdr2 crash, can't contact Rockstar Servers Error 124

RDR2 when launched just endlessly loads trying to contact Rockstar services then crashes. Are there any work arounds? I am on Arch Linux. The log is attached.

those environment variables don't look right, the %command% I'm 100% shouldn't be there and the first one seems to have another env variable inside I'd delete both of them you will most likely need this fix too https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1210747284086849578

I can't log into the launcher even it just errors out (134) and then crashes so i cant log in

I used to get that error and recently@found this discord and the fix was on the rockstar games possible solution thing he listed above The fix.bat file.

dont use proton use wine-ge you need to remove those environment variables %command% is only a steam thing make sure you've done the flatpak steps in the top post in https://discord.com/channels/812703221789097985/1044301598018515105

Like she said. Dont use command. You’re almost there. I was having that same black screen. It’s actually loading but it’s super slow. You’ll need to wait it out. Go into the graphic settings and change the display adapter from 1 to 0. Then it won’t be laggy.

In game. Once you finally load in Again. Itll be a long long loading screen and it’ll be super choppy. Like 1-5 FPS. But that black screen means you’re close. At least you’re not getting any errors. Like before.

Mine took about 5 minutes. But in those 5 minutes I was seeing the intro of the game. If you don’t see ANYTHING at all then you’ll have to keep messing with settings and files.
