i recommend against preloading and using dh generation simultaneously, both of them using cpu just causes them to run slower which is not helpful to you. I recommend you remove chunky, set dh cpu load on max and just wait for a while, it might take an hour or two depending on the distance you set.

I tried this before, i put cpu usage on maximum and it wasn't loading at all and at the edges of render distance there were some holes with unloaded chunks

did you check the world gen queue debug?

What's this???

in dh settings, advanced settings, debug, debug wireframe enable wireframe rendering and world gen queue it should show you blue indicators and boxes moving arount where it is currently generating I assume your cpu is actually being used if you check task manager?

yikes, that might take you a while to generate then what is your distance set to?
Asashi
Asashi•5mo ago

I know it may generate slowly but there is a lot of weird holes Like here
Azure
Azure•5mo ago
yeah it does that for some reason i think it generates the chunks based on noise but thats entierly a guess i didnt look at the code

Asashi•5mo ago
I don't have problem with it being slow because i have some patience but i just want it to work

you can try mods like c2me and noisium to see if that helps, those improved my performance a bit also try increasing the "chunk update threads" in the performance tab of sodium

if you intend to actually play with dh rather than just recording cool cinematics I recommend you lower your chunk distance to 128 or below yes
Asashi
Asashi•5mo ago
Okay
Azure
Azure•5mo ago
well now you know its at least working on generating them all
Asashi
Asashi•5mo ago
But now it haven't generated even one

if you want to view the progress you can mess around with the other wireframe debug settings one of them shows like a loading animation i forget which one in this mode it wont show you the lods it will just show the wireframe if i remember correctly

But it loaded chunks that i generated because when i changed my render distance to 2 i was still able to see everything the same as when i had 16
Azure

idk its definitely trying to generate the chunks though
