Unplayable FPS

I have an intel i9-1900hx, 32gb of ddr5-6000 and an rtx 4070 laptop gpu. minecraft usually runs at about 800 fps on max settings. When i first loaded distant horisons it worked EXTREMELY slowly at 60fps and then i looked in settings and thought a 13th gen i9 could handle minecraft. Apparenlt not. Even putting it up to balance resulted in 30% cpu usage but 0-1 fps. Even after changing it back to minimal load it remained at 0-1 fps and the LOD chunks werent loading at all.
Solution:
increase ram allocation to 6+ gb i suppose

How much ram do you have allocated and were you running out of it by any chance? If you're not sure, send a screenshot with the F3 menu open And share logs please
