How do I do this with my jeans?

I have a pair of wide leg "carpenter fit" jeans, And I wanna make them look like the picture, wht problem is that the above seems to taper down while the jeans I have are pretty much straight fit. Also what are thooooose (shoes).

The shoes are Converse chuck 70 hi tops I don't think those jeans have much of a taper, if you were to cuff a pair of relaxed loose fit jeans several times I think it would look like that, but post pics of yours and people can advise better

i think the angle of the photo is making a potential taper look more pronounced than it is

that said you can do a variation of a pinroll, as shown here https://www.apetogentleman.com/how-to-pinroll-jeans-trousers/

you'll want to start with a smaller pinch of fabric and a larger cuff but should get the same effect

I’d say give the pin roll a try and see if it gets the right effect. In your photo you can see the slightly folded fabric right above the cuff means that something is not laying entirely flat. Also once you start folding up that much material the general geometry of the leg can be distorted. If you’re getting a different look it could be an actual difference in taper
