How laggy is it to use Pikvm to control your laptop remotely? What kind of internet are you using. Is it possible to do real work over Pikvm or do you mainly use it to answer work emails/messages?

It is laggy under suboptimal conditions. i have a
- 1gbs up and down
- pikvm is hard wired to gigabit switch
- tailscale
- when I'm at the office, I use office guest wifi because it's about 10x faster than att 5g at around 500mbps. At these speeds I get workable latency where I'm able to actually write code and do my usual day to day if needed
When im on 5g, or below 20mbps, I can really only do small things
I've coded, reviewed PRs, replied to slack while in this setup
In the mornings I make an effort to put all the windows in the right places, prepped things like enterprise github, slack, zoom, in easy to click locations ahead of time so that when I log in via tailscale where I want to go to is just a few clicks away
