so here's a few things not sure if you have the Nvidia driver installed, however Heroic detects the open source nouveau driver which doesn't handle games at all Here's what you can try 1. Make sure nvidia driver is installed 2. run flatpak update to ensure correct runtimes are installed

for clarity, when running games in linux, tools like steam and heroic use a vulkan translation layer to convert direct x calls into vulkan ones that do work in linux.. so this is how "direct x" is installed on linux, though alayer called dxvk (directx 9, 10, 11) or vkd3d (dx12) fedora should have pretty well documented instructions on installing nvidia drivers iirc

Just search for nvidia in the software center, pick the latest one as you have the RTX series

Fedora. Nvidia drivers are not available in the regular repos. You have to enable rpm Fusion or at least enable the nvidia drivers repo https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA?highlight=%28%5CbCategoryHowto%5Cb%29 (if you enalbled 3rd party repos during the welcome screen after install you will already have fusion enabled so you would be able to follow those instructions- if you did not you will have to start by adding rpm fusion https://rpmfusion.org/Configuration)

I think it should be available as a checkbox in the software center settings

I use Fedora on my full AMD laptop, nvidia repo was enabled by default for me

then you probably checked the box on startup that enabled 3rd party repos

that's possible

most ppl do so you usually have them enabled already I think the kde spin just started to offer a way to do that upon install with 39, it used to require adding fusion manually. I can't remember if it still does but I think there is a way (maybe they are shown in the sources now and you can check the box)
