Remnant 2 - Crossplatform Multiplayer Issues

I am fairly new to Heroic Launcher cureently and imagine I am struggling on the basics. But I installed it because of issues with getting Remnant to play nice multiplayer wise. And my friend and I are already trying to trouble shoot.

So I need help with two things, please:
- How to get Remnant working through the hero launcher
- Figuring out how to use the social tab because it juat won't open and neeeds Epic Launcher stuff??
