trackpad registering as cursor in game mode

anyone have a fix for this? id like to use the the trackpad on my gpd win mini for some games, but it always shows up as a mouse cursor. i tried turning off the trackpad in the desktop mode settings, but that only applied to desktop mode. in game mode everything remained unchanged

if it helps, im using gnome and the win mini otherwise uses dualsense inputs
