hollow knight has cloud save on gog but option does not appear on HGL
I checked the hollow knight settings on the HGL page and I don’t see cloud syncs option but gog does feature cloud saves for this game. Am I missing something ?

heroic only knows what the storefront tells it about cloud saving. If the option isnt on the game's settings page, it means the store didnt tell heroic it supported cloud saves
many times games are mislabled too

What can be done to fix this? Just wait for an update in the future?
Also, can I know what games will have this issue in advance so I can not get that game at that moment in time?

its likely the game doesnt actually support cloud saves
so there is no fix
lots of times games have improper listings on their store pages about cloud saves, or cloud saves are handled internally by the game itself and not managed by heroic

But if gog does confirm that it is true about the game having cloud saves since they hosting the sale on their storefront when I email them, what then?

are you using the windows or the native linux version of the game?
I ask because I think the cloud saves functionality doesn't work with linux native versions

Hmmm. I am noticing that Linux games have an issue with not having a cloud sync feature on HGL despite their respective store pages saying that they do have cloud saves.

Linux games on GOG do not have cloud saves because it is a Galaxy feature.

easy to just use the windows build instead, then you get cloud saves
(honestly probably preferrable to use windows builds for the most part)

That’s a question for GOG
If GOG doesn’t provide its Galaxy launcher for Linux games, there’s no reasonable way to have it behave the same way
