Game tries to reinstall after adding the game to steam through heroic launcher and clicking play .

I installed Dark souls remastered through the launcher and it seems to play when I click on the game through the heroic launcher but when I click on add to steam or I create a desktop shortcut, I instead it tries to install the game again. I'm using the latest version of heroic launcher.
