Do companies monitor for patent filings for their employees?
Unfortunately filing under a pseudonym isn't feasible for me.

I do not know for every company, but for research or innovation companies, it's standard to try to get patents to build your resume.
So I would presume it's industry specific on whether a company/competitors monitors patents of their employees as well as recruiters that service that industry.

It would be very difficult and expensive for a company to look for hidden patents. They assume you will boast about them.
However, if your patent ever becomes subject of litigation life will get very difficult. You almost certainly signed an assignment of intellectual property saying that the company owns the patent for anything you invent in their time. If two companies realize you invented something while working for both of them at once…

Thankfully my two Js aren't in the same industry so there would never be the nightmare scenario where they sue each other for patent infringement
