Automatic adaptive sync on Plasma Wayland behaves incorrectly

I wasn't able to find any existing bugs for this on kwin or bazzite, curious if anyone else has seen it. When I enable "automatic" adaptive sync:
- my desktop remains vsynced
- I open a game, it gets VRR correctly
- I close the game
- my desktop is now either properly VRR (but should be non-VRR) or sometimes stuck at like 15hz or fluctuating 80-120hz

this only resolves if I change the screen refresh rate in display settings. disabling adaptive sync entirely does not actually fix this state, it stays in the same weird sync behavior until you switch refresh rate.

using a 7900xtx with amdgpu
Solution
deleting ~/.local/share/kscreen configs and restarting seems to have fixed this? I carried configs from nvidia+x11 to amdgpu+wayland so I guess something got fried there still broken actually
