Super noob question(s)
Hello! I am looking for some very patient individual to kindly assist me in my modding journey...
I followed a youtube tutorial, and got everything to work pleasently (specifically this tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nreNPSTbTGA&t=280s) however i would like to create my own "modpack" for myself to use.
I have found a bunch of fun mods, mostly QOL... That are all working properly and installed đź‘Ť
My dillema, is that even when doing the same thing the tutorial in the video said, and after reading several posts/articles i cannot get Distant Horizons + Indium + Fabric API + Sodium to work at all within the Forge app. It gives the error, " This version is incompatable with the profile mod loader" which is foreign to me as this exact copy (and tested with a fresh one too) set works in the (tutorial) other mod pack.... Which is the same version. So, i am not sure exactly where to go from here... Maybe i am doing something wrong. Regardless, a hand would be fantastic. I super appreciate any input and will be on standby ready to answer any questions that would aid.

Those are all meant for the fabric mod loader
You’re trying to use forge, which none of those mods were made for

i noticed as well, and switched to fabric 1.20.1 as its supposed to be
everything is working etc. Only thing now is the Iris shaders for some reason arent being recognized
In-Game the shaders are showing (2 other types of shader choices) but not iris. Odd.
On the other runs i did the Iris automatically applied itself to the game.

Since i couldnt get iris to work i just put in another shader in the meantime
I think you're misunderstanding what Iris is

Iris is like optifine and adds shader support
not a shader itself

If you want to use DH with shaders, make sure to look at https://discord.com/channels/774352792659820594/1203904707270279208 for the supported shaders
You have to download the shaders from the pinned messages in those threads as the published versions are not compatible
The iris download thing might have come with the compatible Bliss shaders by default tho, so you can just use that
