EOh my dad and me still have his laptop from 2010 with a 2nd gen i5, now dual booting windows 10 from one sata SSD and LMDE from the other sata SSD

Amy parents are using an old Dell Latitude with an i5 from 2015. still actively used and running perfectly fine with Linux today.

EMy current laptop is from November 2023, and the laptop before that I bought in August 2020, and the laptop before that I bought in early 2017, and the laptop before that was an absolute stinker of a laptop bought in 2012 or 2013

EThe laptop after that was a beast of an Acer Aspire V17 Nitro Black edition that ran Pop!OS really well
EBut it was so large and annoying to bring with me that I got a nice small laptop when I started studying IT
