OI kinda feel bad for the folks who can afford it when their reservation comes around but choose not to go ahead... don't know what they're missing.
Ccompletely agree. I assume that quite a few of them decide that FFB isn't going to contribute that much to their overall experience. I almost passed up on my reservation because I don't fly helis at all and warbirds very little, but finally decided to give it a shot thinking I could always sell the Rhino if I wanted. SO glad I did.
CEven modules with little / no native FFB stuff like the Hornet are way better with the Rhino. The gimbal feels better than anything else I've used in those modules, and the little things are VERY helpful in a sim. FE, I have the runway rumble and speedbrake rumble on in the hornet but turned way down. Not realistic for that aircraft, but in a sim world where you have no physical feedback it's pretty helpful to tell me that my wheels are off the ground or I still have the speedbrake out.
CThose are kind of little things that I hadn't really thought about before I started messing around with it. And force trim has been a night and day difference in the tomcat. I knew it would be a game changer in xplane, but didn't realize it would make such a difference in the f14. So yeah, the people that cancel probably literally don't know what they're missing out on.
OYeah... everything feels better with it. Being able to tune friction and damping is lifechanging.
BIt's serious cash, and these days there's usually not much to spare. I don't think I could have gotten mine if I wasn't single and childless

One is on a DOF reality H3, and the other is a static seat in front of a 50 inch screen.
...So in order to be able to quickly switch my Rhino joystick between either setup, I'd like to buy a second PSU, so that I only have to shift the joystick itself over.
I'm confused over the neccessary spec though. My stick came with a 19v 10a PSU, but on here I see many instances of people using 24v PSUs. Which voltage is best ?

SNice, I didn’t realise there was an option for express shipping. Mine was shipped 29th March and I’m still twiddling my thumbs as it’s been held in customs here in the UK. Apparently they have sent instructions to the receiver (me) but I’ve had nothing and their support chat was less than useless. I’m off to Berlin Sunday for work so a bit frustrating that I couldn’t get it setup before I go.
BI don't get the whole customs thing. I had no issues with rhino but I did have difficulty with winwing. BTW I didn't select any expedited shipping as far as I know.
CThat's pretty unfortunate. I had mine 3 days after it shipped, and I live in the middle of nowhere in Oregon.
CI did get a huge envelope from Fed Ex about a week later that included a copy of a Homeland Security signoff on the package. That was kind of weird. Never gotten that on an international package before.

VHi, aren’t TM F-16 and F/A-18 grips too heavy for Rhino with an extension? 720g sounds like a lot of inertia
BI have a 15 cm extension with the 18 grip and it's fine.
MDespite the latest TelemFFB updates which now look for some of the unique Lvars, I still have some strange behavior in the A2A Comanche in MSFS - spring force seems to come and go at times and I don't know why. I tried disabling trim following, but that doesn't seem to be it. If anyone has this plane working really well and would be willing to share their TelemFFB settings I can try, that would be great.

when the rhino is powered on but idle, and you gently hold the grip or even more so the stem of the Rhino, you can kind of feel very light vibrations. as if they come from electricity, or indeed the motors doing the basic function of keeping the stick straight. do you also feel the super-light vibrations in idle?

BDoes it matter if you have have a curved extension compared to a straight one , so to speak? I use a TM f18 grip with a 15 cm straight aluminium extension. Wondering if a curved one would make any difference
