it goes beep...beep then four leds flash nad ten it repeats itself
But... there's no speaker or beeper on the Octopus Pro.
Please make a video
@miklschmidt
Aha, something is shorting. That beep you hear is the power cutting off, might be from the 5V rail collapsing.
Check that you didn't misplace a jumper
but i have nothing connected
cant be the jumpers above the steppers right ?
so the only other ones are the ones for the fan ports
You don't need to connect something to short it. If you messed up some jumpers or there's metal connecting to points on the back or something, it can short.
No there's not really any way to make those short anything
And nothing immediately jumps out to me in the video
What does it say on this chip?
What's going on down here?
how is this mounted? I don't see any screws in the mounting holes, and that thing in the picture i marked looks odd
@miklschmidt i hate my life.. i spend 10hours trying to get it to work and the "short" was because my toolboard power was connected
stm32f446zet6
it wa sonly mounted at the top
That shouldn’t cause this though?
How is it connected?
it works now tho. or atlest it doesnt make a sound
the toolboard or mainboard ?
toolboard
right now not at all. usb Was never connected only the power was and as soon as I unpluged the power the "short" wa sgone
Your wiring sounds like it needs to be redone if you are getting shorts just by connecting a device
I haven't changed anything tho, didn't had shorts yesterday on the octopus v1.1
Like blacksmith said, if connecting power to the toolboard causes a short and prevents the octopus from bootin, you need to go over your wiring.
i switched out the cable and now everything works perfectly. thanks for the help @blacksmithforlife 🇺🇸 an d @miklschmidt
Excellent 👍
