Is it just "normal" wash without the wavy water line that's usually there?
it does look just like that. Out of curiosity, what is the garment and what is it made of?

I’ve had a bunch of Japanese loopwheel sweats over the years and usually wash in cold water, delicate cycle, inside out and they’ve been alright.
If your washing machine has a hand wash cycle you can use that as well
