Anyone know why my postgres db takes around 3-4 seconds to find one row in my database.
Solution:
you're pro as far as I can tell, try moving your database closer

I'm not on the pro plan anymore. I dont know why i have the role still but i can upgrade mabye, but its beacuse i have 100$ in credits. and i wanna use them before i upgrade to pro

well Denmark is quite far away from us-west1 so the time you see makes total sense, databases are very susceptible to distance and rtt
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Yeah, what other regions does railway have?
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
I see they have Amsterdam. Do i need to pay more than the 20$ for pro if i upgrade?
Brody
Brody•4mo ago
$20 for the seat and then any additional resources you use
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Arr alright. And my credits will not work then ig?
Brody
Brody•4mo ago
there's no extra costs for regions as all regions are available for pro users
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Okay thanks!
Brody
Brody•4mo ago
you'd need to open a thread and ask the team to move them over once you have already signed up for a pro plan
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Alright beacuse i got 100$ 💀

Brody•4mo ago
I can't see them having any issues doing that for you
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Alright, it is on https://help.railway.app i need to do that?
Brody
Brody•4mo ago
yeah, but you'd first need to be on pro to open a private chat with the team of course also because you'd need a pro plan for them to have a place to move the credits to
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Yeah makes total sense, i'm on pro plan again now!
Brody
Brody•4mo ago
awesome, move that database over! Amsterdam is quite close to Denmark so thats great
lasse
lasse•4mo ago
Yeah, thanks again for your help!
Brody
Brody•4mo ago

lasse
lasse•4mo ago

lasse
lasse•4mo ago

🇩🇰 I do hope that railway listens to previous proposals about allowing users in the hobby plan to set a default region.

lasse•4mo ago
@Brody The 20$ of the estimated bill also includes the member seat right?

Alright thanks! @Brody I got a question nixpacks with bun. Would this work?
# nixpacks.toml
[phases.setup]
nixpkgsArchive = 'd05592ea7e9656648093dfe0e817819486bd5054'

[start]
cmd = "bunx prisma migrate deploy && bunx prisma generate && bun run start"
# nixpacks.toml
[phases.setup]
nixpkgsArchive = 'd05592ea7e9656648093dfe0e817819486bd5054'

[start]
cmd = "bunx prisma migrate deploy && bunx prisma generate && bun run start"
I'm testing with nixpacks locally

Brody•3mo ago
just a friendly reminder #🛂|readme #5 but yes, that does get nixpacks installing bun 1.1.4
lasse
lasse•3mo ago
