(Solved: Update Astralex) Astralex Crashes on 1.20.5 Iris
i'm updated same thing, and same way to 1.20.5 from 1.20.4
but don't act my shaders
what can i do? please help. thanks.

Apparently there's an issue that made Iris to crash when loading up Astralex shaders specifically.
Reason for this crash is yet to be known, but I think I have a theory.

It is likely have something to do with IMS updating how
block.properties parsing works for Iris 1.7.
If that's the case, then the easiest solution to get Astralex working is to unzip the pack and delete blocks.properties file.
May likely break the pack so, not recommended.
Long term solution is for IMS to fix it on future version of Iris.i'm trying to that

Hello there, I realized we still have a dev version of Iris 1.7 that likely doesn't have the updated parser. You can grab it in #unstable-releases for a short-term fix, but it is recommended to grab an updated release version if one is available.
I updated the title of this post so that it will be easier for people to find this.

What happens when we delete the block.properties file?
Can the shader give errors about shading behavior, lighting behavior in blocks, such things?
Worse case scenario, the shader becomes broken (errors all around).
Best case scenario, it works, but stuff becomes weird or glitchy.

This is likely the best temporary fix.
