DI simply disagree the glider is OP by itself, but I do agree progression is really wonky in this game.

DIMO glider would have no issues if it was placed somewhere much less reliable to acquire. Like some hidden areas, with their placement being randomized.

RI think its kind of OP too, but only if one seeks to go from point A to point B quickly. Say you want to go around exploring a number of areas for items, I think a golf cart is a better choice. Basically all I would do to balance the glider is limit is infinite flight potential.

Rwithout movement speed boost from strenth and decreased stamina use as you level its grueling to just run around.
SThe game doesn't have to be pvp to make the glider OP
Sif you can get the glider in less than 5 minutes of any spawn point

RThis is exactly why I think its OP, but not so OP it completely breaks the game unless you exploit the infinite flight glitch.
Sit completely makes them useless unless you choose to use them
Sit's the same problem that minecraft had with the elytra
Sonce the elytra was added people stopped using horses, minecarts, boats etc
Lthat some work is very little compared to how much altitude it gives you
