Dfinally got my rhino base. 7 months. Anyone use a winwing f16 stick with the adaptor. Is anyone getting more than 32 buttons registering? some of the hats including the trim pov hat are not registering, basically anything past 32 buttons nor the axis based controls like the analog hat (part of the addon on the left) and the trigger pull axis on the bottom (buttons work on it)

IMine also shipped on a Friday and showed up Monday about an hour north of Houston, Texas.
IThe package from Lithuania made it to my door a day sooner than 2 packages ordered a day prior from inside the US.
II use a 16EX and mine didn't register at all at first. I took it off, turned the cable 180 degrees, plugged it in, it worked.
Dmy problem was much simpler. i forgot to set the grip type

Nonly if you convert it with either gunfighter rev.B or rev.C grip adapter, buy a blackbox, then buy the vpforce vkb adapter

LVIRPIL grips work natively and are at least cheaper than Thrustmaster which also work natively. Can also go second hand route for either to find a deal.
Nunfortunately, unless you are willing to step down to warbrd/f14/kg12 levels of grip functionality, i'm not sure if there is a cheaper option than converting the SCG and buying a blackbox
Naside from vkb, winwing might come out as second cheapest if you buy a normal F16 stick on the US store, with the free shipping, $140 or so

MGot home today, unpacked the big box from Lithuania, and was wowed immediately by the Rhino build quality. I have a 3d printer, and I sure wish I could make my pirnter produce parts as lovely as VPForce. Piddled around and got it set up in between hanging with the kids and wife. Finally got the boys to bed, and loaded up default settings, with some simple axis swapping to match the orientation of the unit on my rig. Fired up DCS---and without any tuning, immediately realized what all the fuss is about. Truly transformative. Trimming is no longer an exercise of exasperating futility, and the hydraulic smoothness of the Rhino is a pleasure in and of itself. Can't wait to get some more seat time and tuning in the next few days. All this is to say . . . hang in there . . . the wait is worth it.
MBy the way--for the Winwing adapter users: if your grip is slipping/rotating in use, get some step grip tape (like sandpaper with adhesive backing), cut out a circle the diameter of the inside of the adapter, and a smaller hole inside it to expose the 6-pin connector, and stick it in the adapter. The bottom of the Winwing grip will not slip . . . Learned this method from Realsimulator forums to limit slippage on TM style grips.
TYeah I wish people could truly understand the feeling of FFB.

BJust the configurability alone, sure you can tune a virpil/vkb gimbal but you will have to completely disassemble it and rebuild them. With ffb and the rhino in particular all of that and more can be tuned with a few button clicks.
Not to mention just in general as a straight up spring stick it makes my virpil feel like a clunky and grainy toy.

DTotally agreed on the experience. Its transformative. I received mine yesterday, connected my winwing f16 stick and launched into dcs after work. Started to fool around with the f4e and four hours later realized i should be in bed Cant wait to try out the apache tonight. Pairing this with vr (i have a crystal) is an eye watering experience (I started my flight simulator experience with f117a on a 386 ). I think the best way to summarize it is that it the feedback makes the plane feel alive. For me, this makes all other joysticks obsolete.

Mine was F15 Strike Eagle II, which I think was about that same time period as "F19"/F117a. Still have the 3 1/2 inch floppy disk. It truly is amazing how far both the sims and hardware have come.

LI've enjoyed WarBRD though it's one of the cheapest. It's shaped just like real Huey's and Phantom's grips and that's what I fly now. I've got two fancier, expensive grips too, but this feels better for F-4 and UH-1. Make sure you have enough buttons elsewhere (I do I have pretty much everything mapped in both cockpits)
SI started with FS 3 i think, maybe 4. First milsim was Flying Fortress, the first iteration.

SHey, where can I find the 3d print files for the belt covers? the ones in the knowledge base return 404
PThis is my biggest take away from FFB & the Rhino. FFB effects are cool & immersive but just the configurability alone makes it worth it. I really wish the bigger companies would consider going back.
