Alan Wake 2 - Deluxe upgrade activation
Hello, I downloaded and installed Alan Wake 2 via legendary because I want to avoid the Epic Games launcher. a few days ago I purchased the Deluxe edition upgrade and updated the game. Unfortunately, I get a popup which says: "The game could not connect to your Epic account or perform authentication. Third-party overlays may be preventing the game from resolving this issue. Please try temporarily disabling third-party overlays and restart the game."
Is there a way to activate the deluxe upgrade without using Epic Games Launcher? Thank you for any help.

install EOS Overlay in Heroic's advanced settings

When I try to install EOS Overlay, I get following Error:

any luck with this ? i'm able to play the game by clicking "continue offline option" , installing EOS overlay didn't solve the error message.
if i use gamescope to activate HDR i can't click the buttons. so no HDR

iirc eos is required to activte alan wake 2

enabling eos also fixes this, you dont need offline mode

eos is the component you have to have in order for dlcs to activate

Do I have to do anything else other than going to heroic's advanced settings and install it? If not then installing it didn't allow me to authenticate and get the dlc working.

you have to enable it per game
in the dropdown menu on the game's page
