Hello, the plugin entry it's probably still active in the uproject file, try to edit the uproject and open unreal again.
Hi, thanks but theres no entry for Dash in the uproject file? Oh is it GraphN?
yes, it's GraphN
Ok deleted that entry but I still see the icon in UE?
Maybe something in the uninstall didn't finish properly:
- You can check the Plugins/Marketplace folder inside the unreal installation
- There should be a GraphN folder still there
- Deleting it should remove the plugin from unreal registry
yup still in MP plugins folder and somehow set crazy admin rights. Even with admin permission I cannot delete the folder?
it's possible that an unreal process is stull running in background
open the task manager, check for unreal editor
it the process is running it will still have an hold to some dlls
sometimes windows is quite annoying with file deletion if processes have used them recently, and a restart usually fixes it if killinf any residual process doesn't work.
No special perimssion is used for installing the plugin
nope, no UE process. Weird, I give admin permission - it runs progress like its deleting, then complains and says I need admin.
Ok yeah maybe just a reset
Try that, so many times I can't delete a file I have just opened somewhere
my bad. VS was open. All good - thanks for the help. Really like the looks of Dash, will def be taking another stab at it later.
I do hope we can do something to make you want use Dash again 🙂
certainly. I had to bail due to a deadline and the Dash content system locking up my project was a bit of a no-win for me but I'm sure that'll get sorted. I'm impressed by the concept and do think what you're up to is the future.
I understand, please feel free to reach out to me directly if you have time to try it again and want to sort out any issue to use it/turn off alongside your regular projects
certainly will, thanks!
